Some journeys aren’t about escape—they’re about awareness, belonging, and presence.
Our Deep In Zimbabwe experience is a 10-day journey crafted for Black travelers who want to do more than see the land—they want to feel it.
Zimbabwe is more than a destination—it’s one of the cornerstones of the IDTT legacy.
Our founder has merged African American/Trinidadian and Zimbabwean culture within her own family—through marriage, motherhood, and months of living in Zimbabwe. This journey reflects that ongoing connection—a powerful merging of heritage, rhythm, and deep cultural respect. You won’t just be observing culture—you’ll be living it, alongside people who carry it in their bones.
We begin in Harare, Zimbabwe’s cultural capital, a city whose name comes from “Haarare,” a Shona phrase meaning “the one who does not sleep". Here, you’ll learn through movement, taste, storytelling, and connection—from hiking sacred hills to drumming with community, to participating in a living village experience.
This isn’t performance—it’s participation.
From Harare, we journey to Victoria Falls, where water meets wonder and rest meets remembrance. Here, we move at the pace of nature—cruising the Zambezi at sunset, exploring artisan markets, and reflecting beside one of the greatest wonders of the world.
This trip is for those ready to not just travel but to be more present.
To witness what it looks like when two cultures—African American and Zimbabwean—don’t just meet, but merge. Because for us, it’s deeper than travel—it’s about rhythm, revelation, and expanding your roots.
‼️ Please Note: All packages (Double Occupancy or Single Occupancy) are priced per person.
